Slicer feed.

Our slicer feed is a flexible, hygienic and compact robotic solution for automatically cutting and supplying cheese to the slicer. The machine divides cheese blocks into bars and positions them precisely for a highly stable and exceptionally accurate supply system. In addition, the cheese can be trimmed to the desired size and the bars can be positioned flexibly, resulting in optimal outcomes in terms of giveaway and yield in the slicer.

As the pioneers of the robotic slicer feed, we have over 15 years of experience with this machine. DERO GROEP was the first to use hygienic robots for this type of cheese processing and we have continuously refined the concept ever since. To date, we have delivered more than 80 machines and the slicer feed has become a proven and reliable solution.

The cheese is first divided with a wire or cutting blade, after which a robot places the cheese bars in the desired position. Cutting and handling of the cheeses and bars is all done by servo driven motors for exact positioning and accurate cutting. Thanks to its simple and compact design with a minimum of components, the machine is easy to clean. The open and hygienic design complies with the EHEDG standard.

The system offers great flexibility in terms of divisions, groupings for the slicer, and cheese types and sizes. The slicer feed is available for Euro blocks, big blocks (Emmental), cheddar blocks and even round cheese in every thinkable bar size and positioning pattern. All settings can be done for each cheese type, age or cutting pattern in recipes for easy change-over and constant quality.

The slicer feed can be combined seamlessly with a de-bagging machine. These machines can be supplied separately or as a fully automatic solution. A separate top trimming unit can optionally be added to the combination. Cheese supply from a rack, crate or pallet can also be integrated into a fully automatic cheese supply line.
