Robot sandwich handling.

We have developed a unique robotic gripper to pick up richly filled sandwich halves, stack them on top of each other without spillage and deposit them in different locations.

This fully automatic robotic system stacks matching halves. In this way, we achieve the most ideal distribution of ingredients - and thus weight! - within each package. At the core of this development are our many years of knowledge and experience within the DERO GROEP specialisms: convenience and robotics. So this innovation has been further developed based on proven techniques. This provides the ideal balance between performance and reliability.

The double robot gripper with built-in rotation unit.

In terms of flexibility, the sandwiches can be picked up from 2 different locations and the user can choose to send the stacked sandwich halves to a thermoform or carton packaging machine. Both the applied Staübli robot and the robot gripper are wet-cleanable, making them extremely suitable for high-care production areas, where short changeover times are essential.

This robot with gripper and similar robotic systems can be used in both new- and existing sandwich lines.
