How designing a labor-reducing solution can also lead to a better and more consistent quality
Together with the customer, we took a step back to explore how to improve product quality while reducing reliance on manual handling.
In many flower processing operations, repacking is still done manually. Employees place multiple bunches into boxes at once, a physically demanding task that is also prone to errors. Flowers may fall out of the box, need to be corrected, or become damaged. Sometimes additional tools are introduced to prevent these issues, but they can also create new risks. Together with the customer, we took a step back to explore how to improve product quality while reducing reliance on manual handling.

Together, we analyzed the entire process step by step. We didn’t just focus on the technology, but also on the real-world operation: how products move through the line, where errors occur, and what is truly needed to improve the process.
Based on these insights, we developed a robotic solution that fully automates the repacking process. Flowers are placed into boxes consistently and carefully, without the need for additional handling or tools.

What sets projects like these apart is that they're not just about building a machine. They're about designing the entire process in a smart and efficient way — from the initial concept to a fully operational solution on the production floor.
That's how automation makes the difference: improving efficiency while delivering a better end product.
