To automatically add sachets with, for example, dressing or croutons to ready-made meal salads, we introduced our sachet feeder a while ago. Now we are taking the next step with the dual pick sachet feeder, an innovation that ensures even higher capacity and continuity.

The food industry faces increasing challenges: higher production speeds, limited space and a growing labor shortage. For dual-line salad lines, an efficient, space-saving solution was needed to add sachets with minimal footprint and maximum speed. So we upgraded our sachet feeder to a dual pick version: an advanced sachet infeed that can pick up two products oriented at the same time and place them in two different salad trays.

Hygiene

The sachet feeder is particularly suitable for high capacity production lines, where products are fed in bulk and can be vacuum handled. This automation not only increases productivity, but also improves hygiene by reducing the need for manual handling. In food environments where continuity is essential, this innovation offers a reliable and efficient solution.

Special gripper

The power of this innovation lies in the fully in-house developed gripper. Instead of the entire gripper rotating, the rotation of both suction cups is incorporated into the gripper itself. This allows the machine to achieve high speeds with a capacity of up to approximately 80 picks per minute. 

The specially developed gripper can pick up two products oriented at the same time.

Sustainable and cost-efficient

Thanks to the dual pick sachet feeder, only one machine is needed instead of two. This not only enables automation on a limited footprint, but also reduces the investment for the customer as well as the environmental impact. After all, fewer machines means less energy consumption. In addition, the sachet feeder can run continuously, minimizing downtime and increasing performance.
