Repacking import products
In order to label Dole Food Company's products packed in the country of origin with a BBE date and stickers, DERO GROEP developed a robot installation for logistics supplier Estron.
- Application: apply best before date
- Capacity: 1.500 boxes per hour
- Biggest challenge: cutting open trays
- Robots: R2000-125L for depalletizing and palletizing & LR mate for lid placing
The system's functions include depalletizing boxes, cutting tape open, removing the lid, applying BBE date on products, applying box sequence number, replacing lid (recycling), closing the box, palletizing on customer order and customer pallet (BLOK/EURO) and wrapping and labelling the pallet.
For the print, label and sticker equipment, a partnership with De Koningh was established. De Koningh is known as a one-stop-supplier, with knowledge not only of the equipment but also of the customer's application. This way they provide a full service.
For order data processing, the installation is linked to Estron's network.
