Robot crate filling station.

In the candy industry, manufactured candy is often put into plastic crates for internal transport. This filling is usually still done by hand, which is a labor-intensive and repetitive process. Therefore, we have developed a robot cell for automatically handling and filling of crates with candy.

The robot cell takes care of the complete filling process: from unstacking empty crates to stacking filled crates on a trolley. Thanks to its clever design, with a minimum of components and maximum use of robot technology, the cell offers high quality, reliability and ease of use.

Fully automatic filling and stacking

The cell processes the plastic crates fully automatically. After trolleys with empty crates are inserted, the robot de-stacks the crates and places them on a filling station. Each crate is precisely filled with candy based on weight and once the desired weight is reached, the robot neatly stacks the crate back onto a trolley.

Cooperation with Tanis

This innovation was developed for and together with Tanis, a Dutch machine builder that supplies production lines for various types of candy, especially gummies and jellies, worldwide. We previously supplied robots for stacking and unstacking trays in Tanis' moulding line. The robot crate filling station links directly to this in the production process. A nice continuation of a strong cooperation!
