On Thursday 16 September, the final of the Gouda Cheese Awards 2021 took place. Not only are we part of this competition as a sponsor, our solutions have also been contributing for years.
The Gouda Cheese Awards is an important cheese competition in the Netherlands, where consumers taste and judge the cheeses. In the category Gouda 48+ matured, Uniekaas Holland's Zoeteweijde 48+ matured was declared the winner. Silver went to Noord-Hollandse Gouda from Zijerveld and Lutjewinkel from Zijerveld got bronze. In the goat's cheese 50+ young matured category, Nora young matured from Kaashandel Remijn was the winner. Silver went to Saantje from Zijerveld and bronze to Witte Sikke from Kaashandel Remijn. These cheeses can use the title of 'tastiest cheese in the Netherlands' for a year.
All award-winning cheeses are treated by one of our lines at some point in the production process. We are very proud of this!
