For the automatic cutting of wraps, we have developed a high-speed ultrasonic cutting unit that can be integrated into an existing wrapline. This solution improves the cutting result compared to manual cutting and increases safety and ergonomics in the workplace.
The procedure for a manual wrapline is that an employee picks up a wrap, rolls it, cuts it and puts it in the packaging. Our hygienically designed cutting unit can be placed above the conveyor belt of an existing wrapline and consists of a double cutting belt, two ultrasonic knives, an outfeed conveyor belt for the cut wraps and an outfeed conveyor belt for the packages filled with wraps. The wraps are manually taken from the belt and rolled up, but the ergonomically very demanding cutting takes place automatically in a protected part of the line. The ultrasonic knives guarantee a sharp and clean cut without damaging or moving the tortillas and ingredients, and because of the double design up to 120 wraps per minute can be cut. The in equal halves cutted wraps then make their way to the outfeed conveyor belt, where they are packed manually.
This modular high-speed cutting unit is especially designed for integration in an existing wrapping line! We also have a solution for the automatic folding and rolling of the wraps, however this is still under development for this high capacity; we hope to provide a fully automatic high-speed solution for this demanding work as well in the future.
In addition to these modular solutions, we can also supply fully automatic lines including dispensers which can be assembled according to the customer's wishes.
