Exchangeable de-foiling gripper jaws.

Driven by the desire to increase the cleanability and hygiene of our de-foiling machine/de-bagger (DEB), we made improvements on the gripper of this machine.

Previously, we used standard gripper modules with fixed gripper jaws that had to be manually cleaned on site. In order to improve cleanability, we wanted to be able to exchange the gripper, or part of it, without using tools, so that these parts could be cleaned outside the machine.

After working out a number of possibilities, we chose for a concept in which we developed an exchange part that contains almost all parts that hang under the gripper body.

This complete part can now be replaced in a short time (and without the use of tools) by a clean part. The dirty parts are then cleaned externally while the machine continues to run.
